Busboys and poets is always good and the Shirlington location was no exception. We stopped by for a weekday lunch and received great service in their cafe space. It has a nice, casual ambiance and an accessible menu that is good for vegetarians. We enjoyed our food and felt prices were reasonable. It was also easy to park on the street nearby. Great spot!

We started off by getting a latte and a nachos. I had gotten the nachos several years ago at the DC location, which were super good. However, this time around they were kind of cold and it was not the same. I also got a vegan bowl which had a lot of vegetables and mushrooms, which was super Duper good this was my favorite thing that I got. The fried cauliflower was also super good. The service could've been much better. I felt like it. It was kind of disjointed. I asked for a box at the end for my food, which I normally never really ask for but this one time when I asked for it, they ended up taking away my food without giving me a box. In addition, I felt like the entire interaction has felt a little off with the servers. The place itself was super cute. I really liked how it was kind of a bookstore inside with a bar as well and they had outdoor seating. The complex is always a really nice place to go with different options of places to eat an go to. I most likely will be back, but I probably would come back to meet people probably not go on my own !

I got the vegan chicken sandwich, vegan nachos, and vegan cauliflower bites. The nachos were a little cold, but good otherwise. The cauliflower bites were very flavorful with the vegan aioli. The vegan chicken sandwich was great. The service was quick and the waiter was super nice and patient. There's a mini bookstore inside which was nice to browse through after lunch!

Service is consistently friendly and I love to go with friends and family. It's a unique DC enterprise with socially responsible murals and design. This creates a welcoming ambience that makes me come back over and over. Ask about the history of the place, it's pretty amazing.

Staple in the DMV , good for quick business meeting or lunch , or just a nice dinner. HH is decent and service is always good. Stopped in to do some studying and have a bite to eat . Had the catfish fingers which are new and the bourbon smash . The catfish fingers were delicious and I got them crispy which they were perfect ! I've come in and had other dishes that were good and done takeout which they do well . If you are looking for consistent, quick good food this is your place!
